Miss Bee's Designs  Christmas Sewing Tips

  • Sewing Christmas gifts is the best way I know to give special items that can’t be bought in any store.  You control everything about the project, from the type of material, to the color, to the quality of the workmanship.

  • It’s a way to make the Christmas season last a little longer.  What’s a better way to stay in the Christmas spirit than sewing Christmas gifts all year round?  It’s a great way reason to take advantage of the before and after Christmas sales – and not just for fabrics, but for patterns, trims and notions, too.

  • Do not wait until the last minute!

  • When you are sewing Christmas gifts, allow yourself the pleasure of making one “love gift.”   A “love gift” is a sewing project that takes a little longer and costs a little more to make.  Pick that one person on your list that needs a little extra loving this year.  Maybe it will be person who has been sick, lost a job, or is getting a divorce.  While you’re working on the gift, think hard about that person; remembering all details about them and your relationship together.  And send your prayers and good thoughts into the project.  The recipient will feel your care and concern whatever the gift.

  • WARNING!  Sewing Christmas gifts is not only a great way to stretch a buck, but it’s addicting.  Not just for you, but for the people on your list as well.  Most folks are flattered that you cared enough about them to make them something unique and special.
